Come See Me In The Good Light

Hybrid retouch × motion-aware AI for frame-consistent, artefact-free removals

Award-winning feature documentaryCome See Me In The Good Light (IMDb)—needed sensitive personal data removed across the entire movie without breaking the reality of the image. The brief was simple and strict: protect people; leave no visible VFX.

I built a novel, two-part approach. First, I used high-end photographic retouching to create clean sources for each problem area (names, numbers, documents, signage, etc.). Then I fused these with motion-aware AI models so the removals stayed perfectly aligned with camera and subject movement—no flicker, no warping, no tell-tale smears. Grain, texture and lighting were matched back shot-by-shot so everything felt naturally photographed.

The result is frame-accurate redaction that preserves narrative flow and visual integrity.
